Event Description:
Employers, have you considered the impacts of marijuana, and how it may affect your business?
Scheduled for implementation in summer 2018, Canada’s Cannabis Act will legalize adult-use recreational cannabis across the country, allowing every adult Canadian the right to possess and share up to 30 grams of cannabis in public (though public consumption is, for now, forbidden). Further specifics of legalization—from where cannabis can be sold to the minimum age for purchase—have been left to provinces to set for themselves.

Expert Corporal Richard Nowak, Drug Impairment Driving Enforcement Coordinator for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will offer valuable information on current equipment and how they plan to manage drug impairment enforcement.

Join us for this important topic at our Business at Breakfast: "Cannabis in the Workplace II" on Tue., May 22.
Corporal Richard NOWAK is the Drug Impairment Driving Enforcement Coordinator for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Alberta. He is also the Provincial Coordinator of the Drug Recognition Expert Program for the eleven other police agencies in Alberta.
